Cup of Hope Baskets and Gifts started the “Cup of Hope Project” in 2009 as our signature company sponsored community-based project.
Our mission is to provide beautiful gift baskets to women who have been newly diagnosed with life-threatening or chronic illnesses. The baskets are designed to give each woman something pretty and help her feel normal and less alone during her treatment.
In partnership with Seattle area hospitals, clinics and oncology offices we work with patient navigators and social work teams to identify these women and present them with gift baskets. We created this program in response to our founder’s own experience with cancer treatment and her desire to feel just as special as always during this difficult journey.
Our goal is to provide gift baskets to women in treatment at Seattle area hospitals by ensuring an ample supply to fulfill as many requests as possible.
Each basket contains a beautiful bone china tea-cup, a tin of organic tea, a writing journal, a tube of hand cream, and a card of encouragement.
We are proud to include Virginia Mason Cancer Institute and Overlake Medical Center partners and we hope to expand our list. We rely on our customers to recommend hospitals to work with so please contact us with your suggestions.
Cup of Hope accepts donations of vintage fine/bone china teacups and saucers, as well as baskets, small journals/notebooks, and hand cream. Donated items will be used for the Cup of Hope donation project. Contact us for more information.
